3 Players of Note:
1) Kristians Pelss - Pelss is having himself a nice string of games, especially in the battle level, pushing and being pushed. He has some nice skills that could make him a bottom 9 forward at the pro level, but this new found battle level need to continue. Scored the first goal for the Oil Kings that really set the pace for the rest of the game.
2) Mark Pysyk D - Solid game from Pysyk at both ends of the ice. Shutting everything down on defense and chipping in with a goal and assist on the offense. This was the type of game Pysyk needed to get noticed by the Team Canada junior brass. I'm sure he'll be right in the thick of the conversation to get one of the defense spots.
3) Calvin Pickard G - Pickard is one enigmatic goaltender, loves making the really hard saves but lets in a cheesy one that deflates his club. Pickard gets off the hook because his teams' defense is pretty porous. Seattle routinely gives up 40 shots a night and Pickard is right in the thick of it. It would be interesting to see Pickard on really good club if his stock would go up.
