3 Players of Note:
1) Taylor Makin LW Vancouver. Judging by his stats, this kid may have the game of his life tonight. Dished out three assists and had a spirited scrap with Keegan Lowe. Just a tenacious in your face type pest tonight. He's a support player on Vancouver, but his line ate up the Oil Kings defense. He, with Matinook and Houck were tough for the Oil Kings to handle tonight.
2) Brendan Gallagher RW Vancouver. Gallagher is one entertaining player to watch. He is relentless in his approach to offense but still plays the game with the right amount of control. The OilKings staunch defense had heavy legs tonight and Gallagher was blowing by them every chance he got. Vancouver did a great job of hemming Edmonton in their own zone most of the night.
3) Laurent Broissoit G Edmonton. On paper, not a great night for him. But he battled hard in back to back nights to give his team a chance to win. He had some bad luck in the first period where a couple of goofy goals found the back of the net. It would have been easy to fold tent, but he came back strong. The Oil Kings had very little offense tonight. They battled the Giants and a lot of heavy legs.
